6th Conference on Solidarity with Cuba
The 6th Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, Sri Lanka was held in October 2012 in the city of Colombo with the attendance of 220 delegates from 22 countries of Asia and Oceania
The Chair of the Sri Lanka-Cuba Friendship Association, Dinesh Gunawardena opened the event.
Another important activity of the meeting in solidarity with the Caribbean island by a tree planted by Argentinean-Cuban guerilla Ernesto Che Guevara on the outskirts of Colombo, as a remembrance of his visit in August, 1959.
