H.E the Ambassador, Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne (Retd.) participated in the Fair’s program, in particular at the Opening Ceremony and the Investment Forum, in which high level dignitaries of the Government of Cuba and important national and foreign companies were present.

H.E the Ambassador warmly welcomed the large number of visitors to the Sri Lankan stall, where a high profile was maintained in the promotion of Ceylon Tea, Sri Lankan spices and Sri Lankan tourism.

Several international travel agencies as well as tea exporting companies approached the Sri Lanka stall, both interested in obtaining relevant information about Sri Lankan tourism and tea production, respectively.

The presence of Sri Lanka at this important event after 15 years of absence demonstrated the great interest that exists in Sri Lanka as well as the extensive business opportunities that could be realized between entrepreneurs during such an important trade fair.
