The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Singapore facilitated the dispatch over 20000 numbers of reactions (reagent) for COVID-19 test kits, which enable testing of 7500 samples. The consignment reached Colombo this morning.
The High Commission greatly appreciates the support extended by Singapore’s Foreign Ministry and Singapore Airlines for urgent dispatch of the consignment to Sri Lanka.
This batch of COVID test kits and necessary reagent were procured by Avon Pharmo Chem Pvt. Ltd, Sri Lanka from a Singaporean supplier.
This High Commission also arranged sending 5000 numbers of COVID-19 test kits donated by Temasek Foundation, Singapore to the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka, last week.
COVID-19 test kits, which are urgently needed in the country are expected to support efforts in Sri Lanka’s fight against this disease outbreak.
The High Commission facilitated this effort with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Relations of Sri Lanka, Presidential Secretariat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Pharma Chem Pvt Ltd , Cathay Pacific Airlines and Singapore Airlines.
