SRI LANKAN COMMUNITY IN EASTERN CHINA AND THE SRI LANKA CONSULATE IN SHANGHAI DONATE ESSENTIAL MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO FRONTLINE MEDICAL WORKERS

The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Shanghai in collaboration with the Sri Lankan community in Jiangsu, Zhejiang provinces and the city of Shanghai coordinated a donation of medical equipment and protective clothing for the frontline medical workers in Sri Lanka.

The donation collected in Shanghai and Guangzhou under the direction of Consul General of Sri Lanka in Guangzhou reached Sri Lanka on 28 March 2020 by Sri Lankan Airlines from Shanghai and was handed over by the Ministry of Foreign Relations to the relevant medical authorities in Sri Lanka.
