Last year the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Cuba presented his Letter of Credence to the President of Panama in Panama City. During the visit, he was able to initiate trade relations with the Panamanian Chamber of Commerce. Further, he selected a suitable candidate for the post of Sri Lanka’s Honorary Consul in Panama who can look after Sri Lanka’s interests there. His meeting with Foreign Ministry officials strengthened bilateral political relations between the two countries.
